Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Peace Harbor Studios is an independent app studio in Sandpoint, Idaho, and a division of Peace Harbor Companies. This policy explains how we handle information across this website (studios.peaceharbor.com) and the apps we publish.
We have organized this policy so the general parts apply everywhere, and each app has its own section describing exactly what that app does. The apps we make differ a great deal in what they touch — some run entirely on your device and collect nothing, while others have accounts and sync data — so please read the section for the app you use. Where an app has its own dedicated, store-required policy (Black Queen), that policy is the authoritative one for that app and we link to it below.
Who We Are & How to Reach Us
Peace Harbor Studios, a division of Peace Harbor Companies, Sandpoint, Idaho, United States. For any privacy question or request, email studios@peaceharbor.com or use the contact form on our homepage. For data requests, please write from the email address associated with your account or purchase so we can verify the request.
This Website
Contact Form
When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. We store that submission in our database (Cloudflare D1) and email it to our studio inbox (via SendGrid) so we can reply. We use it only to respond to you. The form is protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile and a hidden honeypot field; if you do not submit the form, none of this information is collected.
Analytics & Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's global network. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, does not track you across sites, and collects no personally identifiable information. We run no advertising and no third-party tracking cookies on this website.
DeckMerge (macOS)
DeckMerge merges several PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides decks into a single presentation. The merge runs entirely on your Mac. The decks you combine, and the merged result, are processed locally and are never uploaded to us as part of the merge — there is no Peace Harbor account and no cloud service involved in producing your file. DeckMerge contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or usage tracking, and it accesses only the files you explicitly choose to merge.
DeckMerge does make a small number of network connections, all of which are described here:
Licensing (Lemon Squeezy)
DeckMerge is offered as a 14-day free trial followed by a one-time paid license. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects your email address and payment details under their own privacy policy — we never see or store your payment card. You receive a license key by email. The app stores that key in your macOS Keychain and contacts the Lemon Squeezy license API to activate and periodically validate it; this exchange includes your license key and a device identifier (so a license can be tied to your machine and de-activated if you move it). The trial countdown is tracked locally on your Mac, and the app keeps working offline for a grace period after its last successful validation.
App Updates (Sparkle)
DeckMerge checks for new versions using the Sparkle update framework. This is a standard HTTPS request to our update feed (hosted on Cloudflare) and reveals only ordinary request metadata — your IP address and the app and OS version making the request — which is not used to identify or profile you. No personal data is sent in an update check.
Optional Google Slides Export
If — and only if — you choose to publish a merged deck as Google Slides, DeckMerge asks you to sign in to your own Google account using Google's standard OAuth sign-in, requesting the narrow drive.file scope (access limited to files the app creates). The merged file is uploaded directly from your Mac to your Google Drive and converted to Slides; the resulting link is shown to you. We never receive your Google credentials, your Drive contents, or the uploaded file — that data flows between your Mac and Google under Google's privacy policy. Your Google access tokens are stored in your macOS Keychain and can be removed by signing out in the app. If you never use Google Slides export, the app never contacts Google.
What DeckMerge Does Not Collect
- No account on our servers, and no copy of your presentations.
- No analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking.
- No access to files other than the decks you choose to merge.
Black Queen (iOS & Android)
Black Queen is our mobile card game. Because it has accounts, cross-device sync, online multiplayer, and (in the free version) ads, it collects considerably more than DeckMerge — sign-in identifiers, profile, match history, and optional analytics, among other things. Black Queen has its own detailed privacy policy, which is the authoritative policy for the app and is the one referenced by the App Store and Google Play listings.
Read the full Black Queen privacy policy at blackqueen.app/privacy. You can delete a Black Queen account at any time from the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), from the web at blackqueen.app/delete-account, or by emailing us.
Other & Future Apps
As Peace Harbor Studios publishes new apps, we will add a section here describing that app's data practices, or the app will ship with its own policy where the platform requires a dedicated URL. An app's listing on the App Store or Google Play always links to the privacy policy that governs it.
Children
Our apps and this website are general-audience and are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of the information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for processing based on it. To exercise any of these rights, email studios@peaceharbor.com from the address tied to your account or purchase. Specifically:
- Website contact submissions — ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form, and we will remove it.
- DeckMerge — uninstalling the app removes its local data (including the trial record and any stored license/Google tokens in your Keychain). To have your purchase record handled, contact us or Lemon Squeezy.
- Black Queen — use the in-app, web, or email account-deletion paths described in the Black Queen policy.
Data Retention
- Contact form submissions — kept while we are corresponding with you and our normal business records require; deleted on request.
- DeckMerge — we hold no app data about you; purchase records are retained by Lemon Squeezy per their policy and any legal/tax obligation.
- Black Queen — retained per the Black Queen privacy policy until you delete your account.
International Transfers
Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global network, and our service providers (Lemon Squeezy, Google, SendGrid, and the providers named in the Black Queen policy) operate globally. Your information may be processed in the United States or other regions depending on your location and each provider's routing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website and apps evolve. The "Last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, surfaced in the relevant app.
