Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

These terms govern your use of this website (studios.peaceharbor.com) and the apps published by Peace Harbor Studios. By using the site or any of our apps, you agree to these terms.

Peace Harbor Studios is an independent app studio in Sandpoint, Idaho, and a division of Peace Harbor Companies ("we", "us", "our"). The general terms below apply to everything we offer; each app then has its own section. Where an app has its own dedicated terms (Black Queen), those terms govern that app and are linked below.

1. Use of This Website

You may browse this site and use the contact form for legitimate inquiries. You agree not to misuse the site — for example, by attempting to disrupt it, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorization, submit unlawful or abusive content through the contact form, or scrape it in a way that burdens our infrastructure. The site's content, design, logos, and trademarks are owned by Peace Harbor Studios or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

2. Our Apps Are Licensed, Not Sold

Each app we publish is licensed to you for your personal use, not sold. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app in accordance with these terms and any app-specific terms below. You may not, except where applicable law expressly permits: copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or share the app or any license key; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app; remove or alter any proprietary notices; or use the app for any unlawful purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3. DeckMerge

DeckMerge is a macOS app that merges PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides presentations into a single deck, entirely on your Mac.

License & Trial

DeckMerge is offered as a 14-day free trial, after which continued use requires a one-time paid license. A license key is delivered to you by email and may be activated on your Mac; it is personal to you and may not be shared, resold, or transferred except as permitted by applicable law. The app stores the key locally and validates it periodically, and it keeps working offline for a grace period after its last successful validation.

Purchases, Taxes & Refunds

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record, which handles billing and any applicable taxes under their terms. You can purchase a license at our checkout page. The free trial is provided so you can evaluate DeckMerge before buying. If you need a refund, contact us at studios@peaceharbor.com or Lemon Squeezy, and we will handle it in accordance with our refund practices and Lemon Squeezy's policies.

Your Content & Rights

DeckMerge processes the presentation files you choose, on your own machine. You are solely responsible for the decks you merge and must have the rights to use and combine them. We never receive copies of your files as part of the merge, and we claim no ownership over your content or the merged output.

Optional Google Slides Export

If you use the optional Google Slides export, you authorize DeckMerge to upload a merged file to your own Google Drive using your Google account. That feature is subject to Google's terms, and you are responsible for your use of your Google account.

Updates

DeckMerge may check for and install updates (via the Sparkle framework) to deliver fixes and improvements. Updates are provided under these same terms unless an update is accompanied by revised terms.

4. Black Queen

Black Queen, our mobile card game for iOS and Android, is governed by its own Terms of Use / End User License Agreement, together with the standard licensed-application terms of the app store you installed it from (for example, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement).

Read the Black Queen Terms of Use at blackqueen.app/terms.

5. Other & Future Apps

As we publish new apps, each will be covered by these general terms and any app-specific terms we add here or ship with the app. An app's store listing always links to the terms that govern it.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result (including a merged presentation) will meet your requirements. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important files.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peace Harbor Studios and Peace Harbor Companies will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the website or apps. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to an app will not exceed the amount you paid us for that app in the twelve months before the claim (or, for free use, US $50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peace Harbor Studios and Peace Harbor Companies from claims arising out of your misuse of the website or apps, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights — including in the content you choose to process with our apps.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our website and apps evolve. The "Last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, surfaced in the relevant app. Your continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Idaho will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
